I've read about them in Runners World. I've seen them on the sales rack at Luke's Locker. I've seen them on runners at White Rock. And now I've worn one and can say I own a running skirt.
The premise of the running skirt is to be girly while providing comfort, style, and all of the running necessities such as not riding up and providing a small pocket for your key (a new must have for my running shorts....err....skirts).Rachel and I ran our long run this morning on the Katy Trail. 7 miles (and our pace was awesome too - it's ok if you're jealous). For those of you who aren't familiar with the Katy Trail let me inform you that it isn't a place where you work out if you're serious about running or biking. It's more of a "see and be seen" walking/running venue. However, logistically it made more sense for our run this morning than the trek out to White Rock Lake. I did receive a few "hmm....interesting" glances on the KT and one or two whose expression said "is she really wearing that to run??". On the whole I'm happy with the running skirt. I don't feel that it will take over my beloved running shorts anytime soon but it is a nice fun alternative - especially for races when you're surrounded by actual runners who think I'm not a crazy girl who accidentally picked up her tennis skirt while getting ready for the race in the dark. Overall evaluation is good - but what do you think?

cuh-uuuuute! People shouldn't be confused - it has a swoosh on it! I love it. And I love the idea of feeling cute as you work out :)
I'm actually a fan. I may prefer just the tights without the skirt action...less wind resistance. It might help you cut an extra 15 sec off your mile. Please try that :)
